Change of CEO at DB Cargo Polska

Steffen Bobsien, CEO of DB Cargo Polska resigns from his position as of 30 April 2020 to execute the plans of the Management Board of DB Cargo AG in the parent company. During his leadership over the Polish company, Steffen Bobsien managed to increase the company’s EBIT by +30% and improve its revenues which strengthened the position of DB Cargo Polska on the market and enhanced significantly the quality of provided services with simultaneous extension of their range.

Two-digit improvement of punctuality is undoubtedly the indicator which tells the most about the improvement of services. This was possible mainly with tasks under the “Corridor Excellence” project and development of transports in the European corridors. Further improvement of the market position of the company has been reported in the rolling stock maintenance services where, among others, a construction of a completely new pipeline has been started. A lot of credit should be given to Steffen Bobsien in the area of digitization which has become his identification mark within the organization. 

Marek Staszek who resigns from his position of the Board Member for Production at DB Cargo AG returns to his previous position of the CEO of DB Cargo Polska and succeeds Steffen Bobsien.
